The way this would work is you would join the reference frame of a friendly ship (mechanics outlined here>http://spaceengineerssurgestionbox.ideascale.com/a/dtd/Beacon-Encryption/20875-26587) and then your inertial dampers would not slow you down to stopping rather matching your movement speed to that of the beacon, which would allow both players and ships to fly around other ships whilst they're still moving, this would ...more »
Data should be transmitted from beacons but "encrypted" basically location data, general ship status, group info, ship id, cargo ect ect, but it can only be seen by someone who has your Encryption key, and you can choose to transmit certain data and each data point can have a different encryption key so you can toggle on and off what data is transmitting as well as allow others to view it, Another cool feature this would ...more »
Linux and MAC OS support for both the game and any server software.

When you get out of the cockpit of a ship moving at a constant speed the ship flys off into the distance obviously this wouldn't happen in reality, and is a needed fix
The ability to see your player through the glass of the cockpit in 3rd person mode as well as in multiplayer.
Both the front of the cockpit raising if not obstructed, and then a player animation for getting in and or an animation for getting in via the door on the back.
Kerbal scale star systems with atmospheric flight and radial gravity, by limiting the maximum size of buildings on planets you can get round the issue that comes of having square objects on a round planet, if the planets could orbit in the same way that they do in kerbal that would be wonderful
--This has been implemented as of update 01.005.002 via the magnetic landing gear method not the method detailed below--
The ability to land ships on any flat surface perpendicular to a gravity field, I.E. small ships would be effected by gravity when the engines are turned off.
The ability to create programs that run on ships which can control any part of it, from doors to guns to thrusters. this would be preferable Lua as it's lightweight and easy to learn.
Nuclear Reactors should overheat in manual mode. if they get to hot, they should explode. Turning them off would cool them down.
