It would be nice if I could adjust the transparency of my helmet's sun visor (e.g. darken it) while I weld. I'm kinda scared of going blind.
When welding a giant structure my eyes can start to sting, this being a game i think we should have the option to replace the white spark with a simple little blue flame instead, or just somthing less intense!
Probably would be only available on small ship.
Some kind of robotic arm/arms(or something) that allow you to place and build ship/station blocks way faster than hand welding/grinding.
Would be great for building exterior of a structure, but not make the welder obsolete. The cramped spaces inside for example.
A flexible and stretchable conveyor tube would be nice, it would allow the connection of mobile units such as; welding arms on a piston/rotor system, small ships, or even the player to the main cargo hold. This would allow for the easy repair and creation of ships without having to go back and forth between the ship being built and the main cargo hold. This idea would also dovetail nicely with the magnetic rails idea ...more »
A welding robot or something that can finish welding stuff.
You put out the metal grid boxes and then the robot or maybe an robotic arm finishes the rest of the welding for the object to be finished.
It takes so long time to weld stuff manually in survival.
Welding masked... Must be made by player... When used with welding torch, screen changes to an almost infared image showing damaged blocks in different shades depending on damage value, could also highlight key systems with different colors depending on urgency. Could also double as a mask to prevent that white spot burning my eyes in a dark room... ; ) many thanks for the game, loving where it's going... Fix the lights ...more »
Building within a certain distance of a storage unit automatically gives you access to all the items in it so you don't have to stop what you're doing and grab the things you may have forgotten.
This could be an option that could be enabled or disabled upon creating a new map, since it isn't realistic.
