Blueprint system

Have you just built a fairly large mining craft and want another to start a fleet? Don't want to spend the time building an identical one from scratch? Food, water, oxygen, and sleep

If survival is implemented, they should have it that the astronauts must get food, by making a farm that needs power to produce food. Water could probably be combined with food. Sleep, you could need to make an astronaut bed that they use in the ISS. Oxygen you get from farms or by phytoplankton farms. Normal farms produce less oxygen then phytoplankton farms. Upgradable Tools

Playing survival, super great. BUT SOOOO fricken long before i get a darn ship done. OR worst, Taking apart an obsolete model, salvaging.

I want A faster welder/grinder that i can build.

tools with stats.

+1 speed

+1 energy efficiency

independent battery

 

Potentially lose when you die. Gives me reason to survive!

 

side note> I don't like the fact i need a welding mask IRL to first person weld.

Automatic container sorting

The ability to tag containers within a network to contain specific items or types of items automatically. At the moment sorting must be done manually, or through use of mods.

 

This functionality could also extend to refineries, allowing players to task individual refineries with the refinement of certain types of ore.

symmetry survival

self explanatory.

In addition, make it easier to place blocks i.e. armor blocks. have to aim at the frame to place next block is skill and time consuming and should i mention annoying.

large structures in survival takes long enough welding, at least make it easy to build frame.

Surviving into space

Space is a dangerous place. Natural Phänomens like asteroid bombardment, solar flares and radiation can be a threat even for big stations and equipped astronauts. But also oxygen loss, low temperatures and darkness can be life threatening. What are you going to do to preserve your oxygen supplies? How long will you survive without it? Black holes

Imagine flying around space and all these asteroids and dust being pulled in a spiral direction. If you get your ship too close your ship will slowly get pulled in. If you where to turn the ship around and floor it, you could rip the ship in half. That would make survival very dangerous and would want to keep away.

Ever since I read The Martian it has bugged me that there is no food requirement in this game. If you’ve read the book you know that the only thing limiting how long he could survive on the surface of Mars was food or the lack thereof. Block withdraw system on cargo containers

Similar to the one-click-to-make a block button on the assemblers. How about the same on cargo containers, just that you draw out the components needed for selected block.

 

This would really help when constructing larger ships using smaller supplier ships. Since finding the correct ammount of components for things like interior blocks or passages can sometimes be a pain.

Radiation Storms and Better Meteor Showers

Essentially the idea is to have periodic solar storms which blanket the entire region of space in deadly radiation, quickly killing any space engineer not inside a ship or in the shadow of an asteroid. It makes far more sense than basically having the sun 'shoot' meteorites at your powered blocks, which always struck me as unrealistic and unfair. Projection Block Hologram Settings

Have a mode on the projection block that allows you to toggle the visibility of blocks that are not yet ready to be built. This would allow you view the entire project all at once initially, then make any non-buildable blocks vanish to be able to focus on specific internal blocks while constructing more complex items in survival mode.
