I submitted this idea on the forum, so the details are here: http://forums.keenswh.com/post/letters-and-numbers-on-shipsstations-6590490?pid=1280075732#post1280075732 For a TL;DR version, basically: Able to label everything and craft/purchase name and letter plates for ships and stations of varying sizes and fonts. Helps with: Customization, Categorization, Organization, and Directions. Someone suggested I suggest my ...more »
batteries that can store the extra energy created by solar panels that were just implemented, so we can go reactor free if uranium sources are scarce,
It'd be nice if the various inventories would automatically stack items of the same type and then automatically arrange items in some specific order so things are easier to find.
An item/tool built in the assembler that when used replenishes your life support energy, used for extended journeys away from cockpits and medical rooms.
It should either be rechargeable (expensive & recharges from medical room) or consumable (cheap).
Electromagnetic pulse will be very useful for shutdown enemy ships and basically slowing them down. In my idea hole system may work as cannon on large ships and requires some amount of uranium to fire. When enemy ship is hit, every electronic device is turned off and player (your opponent) must turn it on again but it will cost him some uranium (or he may lost some with hit). It make boarding cargo ships all lot easier ...more »
It'd be useful to have an inventory option that shows everything in the current conveyor network as a single inventory so that you can easily find things. In the current system when you have dozens of containers etc all joined together in one large network, finding that single pile of gold requires slowly scrolling through the entire lot looking at every single stack.
We need small batteries and charger for them , for example i want to grind a wall or simply to charge my suit , i grab an energy cell from the charger and put it into the suit or into the tools, i think it will improve imersion and make survival a little more fun
The charger itself should be wall mounted or placed on desks
As you play more and more Space Engineers, you will find that most of the time you will be dealing with holographic images of steel plates on a screen, never actually seeing the physical object. This is why I think physical cargo containers and items would be great for Space Engineers! You will be able to place down a cargo "shelf", and you can weld onto it any material. Those materials would be physically placed onto ...more »
Building within a certain distance of a storage unit automatically gives you access to all the items in it so you don't have to stop what you're doing and grab the things you may have forgotten.
This could be an option that could be enabled or disabled upon creating a new map, since it isn't realistic.
