Patrolling Enemies

Playing solo the game feels epic and at the same time empty. I know that is basically the definition of Space, but I think the NPC ships shouldn't feel like this. My idea is that the NPC ships would be patrolled by drones/robots. These would be easy to implement and the AI wouldn't have to be very advanced at all. Computer generated Trading station with a market

Spawn a Trader Station in a random location in the world, with the possibility to trade minerals for currency (if possible add an online market with fluctuating prices depending on data of single player actions, supply and demand), the currency would be used to buy crafted equipment, other ores and possibly ships in survival mode. Co-op or sp Scenario creation . NPC unlimited resources

Since we don't have AI in the game, maybe we can create our own NPC/enemy.. Missions to survival mode in co-op scenarios without programing knowledge.... To do that NPC need unlimited resoureses: amunition and energy. Otherwise when players reach NPC base they don't have power or amunition to make their turrets fire on players; and load each gun with many amunition or reactor with many uranium lingots make no sense when ...more »

Right now it's unclear what the purpose of landing on planets is. The Keen Developers are waiting for the community to suggest ideas. Mission system and giving players objectives: my proposal

One of the biggest problems with Space Engineers in my opinion is a lack of objectives. There may be some implied objectives in the game like surviving and killing pirates, and the player may be able to come up with their own objectives like visiting every planet or building a huge ship, but that still leaves players wondering what to do next.
