I had an idea of having a magnetic rail block it would be similar to the landing gear but function differently. Basically it would be two different blocks one would be the actual rail and the other would be the connector block which you could add to whatever you want to move. The rail system could be controlled by either object so you could control it from the rail side or control it from the connector side.
Probably would be only available on small ship.
Some kind of robotic arm/arms(or something) that allow you to place and build ship/station blocks way faster than hand welding/grinding.
Would be great for building exterior of a structure, but not make the welder obsolete. The cramped spaces inside for example.
In addition, make it easier to place blocks i.e. armor blocks. have to aim at the frame to place next block is skill and time consuming and should i mention annoying.
large structures in survival takes long enough welding, at least make it easy to build frame.
I'd like a pad specially designed to be resistant/immune to thrusters and also to minor impacts. This pad can be put onto our ships and bases to land our small ships on. No longer will we have to repair our landing pads after landing/taking off! However we don't want these pads to be used as everyday armor, so we should greatly increase the resources required.
When playing in survival, it is something to remember every construction components needed to complete your block. And with such technologies Space Engineers do have, Why couldn't we get a residual imprint of the item was created/builded last, so it is friendlier for our fellow friends in survival (because forgetting what we need is such a time loss, and in survival , building can be really long). We could activate/deactivate ...more »
It would be nice if developers add at least 45 degree block that allow you to build not only layers square but at some degree. Something that will allow to buidl tie interceptor wings: http://www.awakeningofthesith.com/2010/tie/003_tie_interceptor.jpg And that block should be strong as rotors got problem with breaking while heavy stuff connected to them. That block should look like this pipe: http://img.diytrade.com/cdimg/1423478/20167788/0/1301722181/PVC_45_Degree_pipe_Elbow.jpg ...more »
