Currently, there is very little challenge to the game, which is absolutely fine for a creative mode. But when survival is implemented there will need to be something to survive against. This could be done by having some AI Space Engineers that inhabit some asteroids or pre-loaded stations, but not all. This means you have to compete for resources and will add a new element to the game. Perhaps the player chooses whether AIs are in the game when they create a new world. This will also give cause for players to band together to defeat these enemies (which may, rarely have their own ships) and give the game something of an objective if you choose. Perhaps AI allies too, that mine and fight for you in exchange for certain resources, but that may be getting a little too complex. What do you think?
